This week's guest on Once a Bear, Always a Bear is Alex Loudon. A spin-bowling all-rounder, Alex joined Warwickshire from Kent in 2005 and played 118 games for them across the formats in three seasons before retiring from professional cricket, aged just 31, at the end of the 2007 season. He played one ODI for England.
Alex, thanks so much for joining us. What are your earliest memories of cricket, either playing or watching the game?
Playing cricket at home with my older brother for hours on end. As the younger sibling, I was naturally assigned most of the bowling duties. Once I realised that my fast bowling wasn’t actually that fast, and that I was going to be bowling for hours at a time, I switched to spin. On TV, watching England’s tours of the Caribbean was also a fun early memory.
