In the first instalment of a brand new series of fan-focused articles, Bears TV commentator Aaron Viles details his earliest memories in the stands at Edgbaston, his favourite Warwickshire players to watch from over the years as well as the rich sense of identity and pride that comes with being a Bears fan.

There was a big turnout at the Bulls Head ground, Binley Road when Warwickshire played a three-day friendly against WG Grace’s creation, London County. Grace, a week short of his 56th birthday, captained the London side in a magnificent match which culminated in a thrilling draw. Warwickshire, set 390 to win, ended on 380 for six.  

Aaron Viles sits down with former Warwickshire seamer Adam Sylvester to discuss his early cricketing memories in South Wales, fatherhood and the highlights from his time with the Bears during the 2025 season.
