This week we are delighted to welcome to Once a Bear, Always a Bear, Warwickshire and England legend, Ashley Giles. A County Championship-winner with the Bears as player and coach, Ash is in the midst of a mighty cricket career which still has much to give, not least in his current role as chief executive at Worcestershire.
Ash, many thanks for joining us. What are you earliest memories of cricket, either playing or watching the game?
Being on the village green at Ripley, Surrey, where I grew up. We spent many hours, days and weeks there in the summers, just surrounded by cricket. In many ways they are still my fondest and purest memories of the game.
