Many people have long connections with Warwickshire cricket.
Tiger Smith and Dennis Amiss top the list with links spanning more than 70 years. With the mighty transition that the county game has undergone, will anyone ever emulate them again?
Well, Ian Westwood is on the way. The current Bears first-team coach is on 36 years with plenty of power to add.
Westwood was seven years old when he first walked into Edgbaston as a Junior Bear. As a boy at Moseley CC, he started to hone his game and went on to sign as a professional for his beloved Warwickshire, become their captain, be part of success, then move into coaching and ultimately become first-team coach.
