This week’s guest on Once a Bear, Always a Bear, is simply the greatest ever Bear. Dennis Amiss scored 46,400 runs across the formats for Warwickshire and scored 102 first-class centuries. He played 50 Tests for England and scored the first World Cup century by an England player, in the inaugural World Cup in 1976. Dennis’ contribution to Warwickshire cricket on the field was immense – then he became Chief Executive and, in his first season in that role, the Bears won the treble.
