Richard Gleeson hasn’t walked the conventional path taken by most in county cricket.
Prior to his First-Class debut for Northamptonshire as a 27-year-old club cricketer in 2015, the Blackpool-born speedster had worked a whole host of jobs in order to keep his professional aspirations alive, from cleaning up maggots and various other types of bait in a local fishing tackle shop to carrying heavy components onto a production line in a boiler factory.
