Warwickshire will resume their Rothesay County Championship title challenge next week at one of the great, historic homes of cricket when they face Yorkshire at Scarborough. Ed Barnard's side would settle for a repeat of the remarkable game at North Marine Road in 1934 when a 19-year-old batter called Tom Dollery made his debut, the Bears were 45 all out in their first innings...and won! Brian Halford reports.
When Yorkshire were bowled out for 101 on the opening day of their County Championship match against Warwickshire at Scarborough on 18 July 1934, their supporters were not impressed.
