A celebration of club cricket in Warwickshire

In addition to our dedicated, in-depth coverage of Warwickshire CCC over the course of the upcoming Summer, we also want to shine a brighter spotlight on the plethora of incredible Midlands clubs that contribute to the wider cricketing landscape in Shakespeare’s County.

Whether it’s a feelgood story about a promising Warwickshire academy cricketer who’s excelled in a recent league game, an interesting connection between your local team and the Bears, a fascinating piece of history that people might want to know about or a personal tale of how club cricket brought you into the greatest game ever invented, we want to hear your stories, no matter how niche you think they might be.

Speaking from my own experience of playing for the mighty Rowington in the Cotswold Hills League, I know first-hand just how deep the connections between the Bears and the wider club circuit run, even if they aren’t that tremendously well-known, and, as such, I’m extremely passionate about bringing those compelling stories to life for a larger audience.

From monthly club spotlights - highlighting the rich history of local teams and the inspiring people who continue to make them so special - to engaging feature pieces about the origins of professional cricketers as well as frequent league round-ups, I firmly believe that as a platform we can do exactly that.
