Rob Yates looks back on the opening exchanges of the 2026 season with pride and satisfaction, but insists that there’s still more to come from both himself and the rest of the wider squad as the Bears head into a pivotal month of action across formats in May.
For the talented 26-year-old southpaw, affectionately known as the ‘Moseley Maestro’ by the Warwickshire faithful, the Summer of 2025 was a bit of a learning curve, with a tally of 674 runs at 30.63 not providing an accurate reflection of the ability that he’s displayed with the bat in hand in seasons gone by.
