Bears 2nd XI heading for Finals Day after seventh win

Warwickshire will compete at next Tuesday’s Second XI T20 Finals Day after rounding off their powerful group campaign with a 22-run victory over Somerset at Portland Road.
The Bears finished top of the Central group after notching their seventh win from ten games. They will head with confidence into Finals Day at the picturesque Wormsley ground in Buckinghamshire next week.
They closed the group stage with another strong batting performance, piling up 197 for nine after choosing to bat first. Vaansh Jani scored a blistering 83 from just 32 balls with eight sixes and six fours while punchy cameos came from Hamza Shaikh (29, 25 balls) and Nathan Gilchrist (24, 15).
