Warwickshire 2nd XI suffered their first defeat in the T20 Central Group when they were beaten by seven wickets by Northamptonshire at Stowe School.
The Bears totalled a modest 139 for eight which the home side overtook at 141 for three with 21 balls to spare.
Put in, the Bears suffered an immediate blow when opener Vaansh Jani fell first ball. Omaris Khan and Hamza Shaikh added 44 from 32 balls for the second wicket but after they fell for 21 and 35 respectively, wickets continued to fall regularly. Only academy player Arjan Singh Nahal, batting at six, offered much late impetus with 38 from 29 balls.
