Kudos for Bears' title triumph goes to so many people beyond the players, says Mousley

Dan Mousley admits “it means so much” to be part of Warwickshire's County Championship-winning side – but insists the kudos for the achievement spreads far beyond the players who delivered the glory on the field in 2026.
Mousley was one of the 11 on the field when the Bears sealed their ninth Rothesay County Championship title with victory over Leicestershire at Edgbaston six days ago. That was truly a moment to treasure for a Warwickshire-born fella, born and bred in Nether Whitacre, who has been connected to the club since boyhood.
The Bears emphatically deserved the title after building a sensational late-season charge on a solid early and mid-season platform. But the foundation for the triumph was laid during all the years before, insists Mousley, by families, friends and coaches who shaped the careers of the current squad.
