Westwood sorry to see Shaikh leave but respectful of his decision

Shaikh, a graduate of the Bears academy, has joined the Foxes on loan before moving to them full time at the end of the season. The 20-year-old, who has captained England Under-19s, has been with Warwickshire since the age of 10 but has chosen to move believing there will be greater first-team opportunities at Grace Road. Leicestershire director of cricket Claude Henderson is delighted with his acquisition – “he's a young batter with outstanding talent, an excellent work ethic and, importantly, a real desire to continue developing his game," he said.
