The T20 season seems to have come and gone extremely quickly this year, especially with the change in schedule and finals day being immediately at the end of the competition. Getting early momentum is a key factor with the reduction of matches to 12 and unfortunately for us we didn’t manage to get off to the start we needed. Chasing 120 in the first game against Gloucestershire would’ve been seen as an ideal start and hopefully a comfortable victory, but it wasn’t to be.
Missing Dan Mousley and Richard Gleeson in the early stage of the comp was tough to take as they are two key players for us and they came back and showed their worth with consistent performances throughout the competition. This became clear with a huge chase of over 200 down at Somerset where Beau Webster scored his first T20 century, backed up by a career best 76 for Dan Mousley to take our first win of the year.
